As of 2011, URTE has been actively involved in shaping the underground music scene in Freiburg as one half of the collective Ʊ-Tang. The collective’s events Ʊ, Vapor Club and Vapor Room are devoted to pushing new sounds, intense basslines and broken beats.
Rooted in experimental & leftfield hip-hop along the lines of Ninja Tune and Def Jux, URTE and her booking collective seek to transcend barriers between the different genres, mixing both hiphop influenced tracks, deep dubstep and driving 130 bass.
URTE does not only preach diversity when it comes to booking acts: Behind the decks she enjoys blending UK bass, future beats, contemporary club music, footwork and grime, not holding back from sprinkling in a little cheesy post-dubstep and r&b from time to time.
